Your Contribution to Parish Life
Volunteering
We rely on the generosity, skill and good humour of many volunteers. They enhance the Parish life and make our parish family, just that – a family. There are a variety of ways in which you can do this, some are described below:
Caring for our Church
Our devoted church cleaning teams that blitz the Church building each week, make our church so beautiful. This really is a case of many hands making the work lighter. So, if you think you could join please do come along and you will be assigned a task and equipped for the job!
Flower Arrangers
With the church clean and tidy a very enthusiastic group of flower arrangers bring their creative talents and skill to enhance the setting for our liturgies with often stunning seasonal displays. We always welcome new members. Previous experience is not necessary, as we can encourage and train new members.
Hospitality
We a blessed with a wonderful parish hall. This enables us to offer hospitality and to strengthen the social dimension of parish life. We would welcome volunteers who would enable us to offer greater hospitality to all who visit.
Sharing Our Faith
We have a wonderful team of Catechists who share the work of teaching various aspects of faith and preparation for celebrating the sacraments that take place at church. Children’s Liturgy, First Communion, Confirmation, and adults all benefit from engaging with different aspects of our faith.
All of the above activities require people of faith who are willing to lend a hand to others. We are always looking for those with the confidence and skill to listen, communicate and teach. If this is something you might be interested in, then please speak with Fr Paul.
Readers
We have a dedicated team of Readers whose talents are much appreciated. New readers are always welcome. If you would like to become a reader, please contact Hugh Richardson - hughfrichardson@gmail.com
