Keeping in Touch
This page has been introduced to provide information and resources that you may find helpful during the period in which there are no public acts of worship.
This Week
Guidelines for Opening of Churches for Private Prayer
Churches may now open for private prayer, if social distancing is established and there are stewards and cleaners are available to guide visitors and maintain good hygiene standards.
Guidelines for Funeral Services in Churches
From Monday 22 June, it will be possible to conduct funeral services in Church, if they can fulfil the guidelines and risk assessment for opening for private prayer. Numbers will be limited to immediate family only. This cannot (at this time), be a funeral Mass.
With help from some of our social media savvy parishioners we are increasing our online presence and will make as much use of it as we can to help everyone feel connected. It's time for me to dust off the Twitter feed and keep in touch: @catholic henley. When you are watching the live stream, do tweet to say where you are watching!
Resources
UNIVERSALIS
One particularly good resource provides the daily readings and prayers for every day of the year. For a one off payment you gain access to the texts for Mass and the various prayers for different times of the day including Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer and Compline (Night Prayer). It is well formatted for use on tablets and smartphones which makes it very convenient and portable.

Magnificat
This is another good resource with daily readings, prayers and meditations. It is published monthly and is a less expensive alternative to Universalis.
In response to the Coronavirus, Magnificat are now offering their recourses free online.
