Keeping in Touch

This page has been introduced to provide information and resources that you may find helpful during the period in which there are no public acts of worship. We also invite you to send photos to show how you are handling these very trying circumstances and other suggestions, see below how you can Share your Photos and Bring a smile to each other

This Week

Fifth Sunday of Lent

This Sunday Fr Paul will be celebrating Mass at 6.00pm on Saturday and 10.30am on Sunday. You are invited to join him via the live streaming.  The Newsletter now has a new format which will include all the responses you will require, as well as the hymns which we will sing 'together' at the 10.30am Mass. Below you will find a powerpoint presentation which offers an introduction to this week's Gospel = John Chap. 11 = The Raising of Lazarus

Social Media

With help from some of our social media savvy parishioners we are increasing our online presence and will make as much use of it as we can to help everyone feel connected. It's time for me to dust off the Twitter feed and keep in touch: @catholic henley.

Resources

UNIVERSALIS

One particularly good resource provides the daily readings and prayers for every day of the year. For a one off payment you gain access to the texts for Mass and the various prayers  for different times of the day including Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer and Compline (Night Prayer). It is well formatted for use on tablets and smartphones which makes it very convenient and portable.

Share your Photos and Bring a smile to each other

Please feel free to email any amusing or uplifting photos, especially if they are taken while you are cooped up at home or roaming free in the beauty of nature:  sh.henley@rcaob.org.uk

Magnificat

This is another good resource with daily readings, prayers and meditations. It is published monthly and is a less expensive alternative to Universalis.

In response to the Coronavirus, Magnificat are now offering their recourses free online.
