KNITTING TO HELP SAVE BABIES LIVES IN KABUL, AFGHANISTAN |

the Justice & Peace Group targeted a project
in Afghanistan, thanks to the work & experiences of Allyson
(click here to read her diary of
life in Kabul).
Little babies die because of no head covering to keep them warm.
During this
time,
a dedicated team
of knitters, have knitted more than 300 little baby hats, and many other items e.g. mitts, jackets,
body warmers, tank tops, blankets or similar.
Latest Update:
These knitted items
have been transported to Afghanistan for
the winter.

HATS
I would
like to say a big Thank You to all the very kind ladies who have been
knitting for our project in Afghanistan. We have enjoyed each other’s
company and got to know each other a little better whilst helping and
hopefully promoting some goodwill in a war-torn country. At present
there is no way to make sure the hats reach their destination so for the
moment, NO MORE KNITTING PLEASE!
