How can I Help Father Anthony realise his Mission at Sacred Heart Church ?

By Giving:
We need to reach our appeal target & meet our running costs.
The parish costs about £1,000 per week to run.
Each of us needs to be aware of the effects of inflation on the parish.
All parishioners are asked to increase their weekly or monthly offerings.

Regularly:
By means of a Banker's Standing Order
And/Or by using the envelope scheme
Each of these methods really help both you and us to plan.

Efficiently:
By taking advantage of Tax Benefits.
If you pay UK tax at all, with one signature, we are able to benefit by OVER 28%
There is a tax benefit to you of over 22% if you are a higher rate taxpayer.

How?
  • You personally may want to give a special donation in thanks for your faith, or in memory of loved ones.
  • You may wish to sponsor part of the project, which we would be very happy to discuss with you.
  • (see below - list of Personal Donations)
  • You may wish to remember the parish in your will (see below - leaving a legacy to SHC)
  • You may wish to make an interest free loan available to the parish.

How much?
This is entirely your concern. The individual alone can tell how much to give.
But a sincere effort surely means a considered contribution which involves some sacrifice.
So please spend a little time considering how much you can afford.
Perhaps ask yourself the question: when did I last give my parish a rise?
Some have suggested 'an hour a week' for those earning a salary or wage.
