'We have a project here called the 'Traditional Apprenticeship
Programme.' Whatever you think of the name it is a first rate programme
that trains small groups in a variety of skills - welding, carpentry, sewing,
shoe making, hair saloons etc - and is working really well. What the
programme constantly needs are start-up funds just to get them going. I
have confidence in the coordinator of the programme, Aaron Mareya, and he often
asks me for relatively small amounts to get a group or an individual started.
I so appreciate your efforts and those of the parish. It makes a huge difference
here. I am turning away people at the moment as I am dry and they stare at
me in blank despair!! '
The J&P Group are supporting
Fr. David with his request.
A £500 donation has already
been made to the Jesuit Missions, on behalf of the parish,
for the Traditional Apprenticeship Programme.
